About joan

Ifawemimo aka Joan Sparkes was born in Jamaica WI. She migrated to the United States in the seventies at age twelve. Her educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Queens College. She attended Touro College for her graduate degree. Joan has taught for twenty-two years as a Family and Consumer Science (FACS) teacher.

 

In her spiritual journey, Joan is a priestess in the Yoruba tradition for over twenty years. She is an ordained interfaith, interspiritual minister. She is also a Reiki practitioner/energy healer.

 

Personally, Joan is the proud mother of five children and a grandmother of eight grandchildren.
